Old Love New Love

“Old Love New Love” written by Terry and Jenny Bennetts 2003.

He gave a flower, to his loved one
On every Sunday,  for fifty years
Never missed one, not in all of that time
That  was something she held so dear

They’d still hold hands, walking down town
Everybody would smile at them
But all he saw was, his lovely young bride
All she saw was her handsome man

Old love new love, some things never change
Time may weary the body but the heart still stays the same
Old love new love, I know this feeling never ends
It’s nice to know as we grow old, on love you can depend

She walks alone now, walking down town
Everybody still smiles at her
But she’s lonely, so very lonely
Her handsome man’s no longer there

Time has passed by, no more does she cry
Met an old friend, who could make her smile
They went walkin’, They got to talkin’
Now she’s not lonely any more

Old love new love, some things never change
Time may weary the body but the heart still stays the same
Old love new love, I know this feeling never ends
It’s nice to know as we grow old on love you can depend

Old love new love, some things never change
Time may weary the body but the heart still stays the same
Old love new love, I know this feeling never ends
It’s nice to know as we grow old on love you can depend
It’s nice to know as we grow old on love you can depend

Old Love New Love
